Cleanroom equipment is usually bought from a catalogue and then worked around. The gowning bench is the wrong length for the airlock, the cleaning station holds the wrong consumables, the shadow board was drawn for someone else's tool set. BagBox takes the opposite approach. We start with the room, the SOP and the operators, then engineer the thermoplastic equipment that fits. It is the same engineering team, materials and fabrication that produce our bioprocess totes, applied to the equipment around them. What we do not do is sell a standard furniture range.

Why Thermoplastic, and When Not

Thermoplastic suits cleanroom equipment for the same reasons it suits bioprocess carriers. Surfaces are smooth, sealed and non-shedding, so they wipe down quickly and stand up to routine disinfectants without corroding, pitting or losing a coating. There is no paint or plating to degrade, and no welds to harbour residue. Fabrication is flexible, so an awkward geometry that would be costly in welded stainless is straightforward in plastic, which is what makes made-to-measure work economic at low volumes. Units are lighter, so mobile equipment is easier and safer for operators to move.

Thermoplastic is not the answer to every cleanroom equipment requirement. Where high structural loads, elevated temperatures or other process conditions favour stainless steel, we will say so at the engineering review rather than take the work. That judgement is part of what you are buying: a materials decision made against your application, not a default. We are an engineering company that works in thermoplastic, not a plastics company looking to replace stainless everywhere it finds it.

Equipment of this kind does not contact the fluid path, which usually means a lower qualification burden than process-contact equipment. It does not mean none. Your site procedures may still require material documentation, cleanability assessment, supplier controls or change control, and we will supply the documentation your quality team needs to make that assessment.

No. We do not hold a catalogue of benches, cabinets, shelving or lockers to select from. Every unit is engineered to a specific room, workflow or handling problem, which is why the process starts with your drawings or photographs rather than a product code. If a standard catalogue item would genuinely serve you better, we will say so.
No. Thermoplastic offers real advantages in cleanability, corrosion resistance, weight and freedom of geometry, but where high structural loads, elevated temperatures or other process conditions favour stainless steel, that is the better choice. We assess the application at the engineering review and tell you which material suits it.
It typically carries a substantially lower qualification burden than process-contact equipment, but that depends entirely on your site procedures and how the equipment is used. Material documentation, cleanability requirements, supplier controls and change control may all still apply. We provide the documentation your quality team needs to make that call.

Less than you might think. A photograph of the space, a rough sketch, a room drawing or a description of what is not working is enough for a first conversation. Our engineers will come back with questions, feasibility and a proposed approach, and a full technical drawing follows once the brief is agreed.
Yes. There is no fixed minimum. A single cleaning station or one shadow board is a project we will quote, and many customers start there. Smaller pieces are also a straightforward way to see how our engineering process works before committing to larger infrastructure.
