Our engineers hold the original design lineage for the thermoplastic bioprocess tote, and that depth informs every custom build we take on.
BagBox engineers custom bioprocess totes, trolleys and cleanroom equipment for pharmaceutical and biopharma manufacturers. Where our standard range does not fit your SUT bag system, SOP or facility footprint, we modify it or design the unit that does. The same engineering team builds thermoplastic cleanroom equipment, from cleaning stations and gowning room furniture to shadow boards, made to measure for your facility.
Our engineers hold the original design lineage for the thermoplastic bioprocess tote, and that depth informs every custom build we take on.
Approval-ready technical drawings within weeks of brief intake, and cleanroom-ready prototypes shortly after, so projects keep pace with your programme.
Custom enquiries route to our engineering team, not a sales inbox, so you speak to the people who build the unit.
Our 50L to 1500L cleanroom totes are re-engineered around your 3D bag, with dimensions, port positions, drainage and Smart Door access modified to suit.
Transport totes from 50L to 1500L, custom-engineered for your transfer routes with lockable ports, reinforced frames and serialised identification built to your security requirements.
We adapt our 50L to 500L trolleys to your facility, engineering working height, castors, brakes and Smart Door configuration around your corridors and operators.
Stations for IPA, wipes and gloves, sized and laid out around your cleaning SOP so every consumable sits exactly where cleanroom operators need it.
Consumable storage, gown and apron holders, and glove, mask and shoe cover dispensers, configured around your room layout and the order operators gown in.
Document holders, probe storage and shadow boards made to your tool set, giving every item a fixed place and making gaps visible at a glance.
You share your drawings, bag specification, process step and target lead time. The more detail you can provide up front, the faster the engineering team can move. A dedicated intake form ensures the right information reaches the right people without delay.
Our engineers assess feasibility against your specific SUT bag system, facility geometry and SOP requirements. We confirm the approach, flag any constraints, and propose the customisation tier that best fits your brief and timeline.
A full CAD-based technical drawing is produced and shared with your team for sign-off before any fabrication begins. This step protects your process and gives your validation and procurement teams the documentation they need from day one.
Where applicable, a physical prototype is built and shipped for on-floor validation, typically within weeks of drawing approval. Your team tests fit, tube routing, drainage and ergonomics under real operating conditions before committing to full production.
Approved units are fabricated at our Kings Bromley facility using in-house CNC machining and assembly. Working with thermoplastic rather than stainless steel means shorter lead times, faster iteration, and a production process that scales cleanly from single units to fleet deployments.
Every unit ships with serialised identification, technical drawings, bill of materials, and care and cleaning guidance. We support inputs for IQ and OQ, change control and audit readiness, with delivery across Europe and North America and ongoing lifecycle support available post-deployment.
We start with your process, not our catalogue. Most custom work falls into one of three tiers. A Configured Standard takes a catalogue product and sets height, castors, port positions, Smart Door and branding to your site. A Customised Variant modifies an existing tote, drum or trolley around a specific bag system or constraint. A Fully Bespoke Build is engineered from a clean sheet, which is also how every piece of custom cleanroom equipment begins.
Material selection is an engineering decision, not a default. The thermoplastics used across our tote range are ADCF and USP Class VI compliant, gamma irradiation compatible, and specified for the cleaning agents used in routine GMP procedures. Smooth, sealed, non-shedding surfaces clean quickly and do not corrode, and thermoplastic fabrication allows geometry that would be costly or impractical in welded stainless. Where high structural loads, elevated temperatures or other process conditions favour stainless steel, we will say so at the engineering review. The aim is the right material for your application, whichever that turns out to be.
Bespoke enquiries go straight to our engineering team at Kings Bromley, who respond with feasibility and a proposed approach within two working days. You do not need a finished specification to start. Send a drawing, a photo, or just a description of the problem, and we will tell you which tier fits, whether thermoplastic is the right material, and how quickly the unit can be built.
